Lincolnshire is the second largest of the English ceremonial counties and is predominantly agricultural in land use.
Being an agricultural area, Lincolnshire grows large amounts of wheat, barley, sugar beet, and oilseed rape. In South Lincolnshire, the soil is particularly rich in nutrients and some of the most common crops include potatoes, cabbages, cauliflowers, and onions. South Lincolnshire is home to one of the UK's leading agricultural experiment stations, operated by the Potato Council, Sutton Bridge Crop Storage Research engages in research for the British potato industry.
Tourism in Lincolnshire relies on the coastal resorts and towns which lie to the east of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Home to some of the most well-known seaside resorts within the UK, it is a major attraction to visitors from across England. The main county seaside resort is Skegness with its famous slogan "Skegness is so bracing". Neighbouring large village coastal resorts of Ingoldmells and Chapel St. Leonards make it the biggest concatenation of resorts along the Lincolnshire Coast due to their close proximity of each other and the number of large caravan and holiday sites. The resorts offer amusements, leisure activities and beaches, retail shopping and Skegness Pier.
There are also several well-known local golf courses in Skegness. With excellent road, bus and rail links to the rest of the county, it is an ideal base for your serviced office in Lincolnshire, providing you with a place for business and pleasure.
