Cornwall is the traditional homeland of the Cornish people and is officially recognised as one of the Celtic nations, retaining its cultural identity that reflects its history. Even though Cornwall is remote and residential broadband less common than in other parts of the UK, it has one of the world's fastest, high-speed transatlantic fibre optic cables, making Cornwall an important hub within Europe's Internet infrastructure.
