Located in Holborn between the West End and the City, Hatton Garden has a long history of being a place of industry and commerce. As such, setting up offices here is an excellent choice for any inspired business.
Hatton Garden's impressive mercantile heritage stretches back through the centuries and the area has long been known for its jewellers and in particular for its appraisal and selling of diamonds. There are around 300 jewellers and businesses which focus on jewellery in Hatton Garden these days including the famous De Beers Group. The area itself is named after Sir Christopher Hatton, who was gifted and purchased land around the area in the 16th century. An estate was built, as well as several houses and shopfronts and with the eventual sale of the Hatton Garden estate, several wealthy diamond merchants moved their businesses in. That tradition persists today, with this quadrant labelled as one of the world’s most prestigious and well-known diamond quarters in the world.
As well as its illustrious history, Hatton Garden’s central location at the heart of the city means it has good transport connections to the rest of the country as well as international stations and airports.
As part of Holborn, Hatton Garden has plenty of access to transport across London. A series of tube lines and station serve the district, as well as a number of buses stopping in and around the streets of Hatton Garden.
Hatton Gardens nearest airport by distance is the London City Airport, which can be visited by way of the Underground’s Central line and the Docklands Light Railway or DLR for short. After that, Heathrow Airport is the second closest, and can also be reached by the Underground.

Three Underground stations serve Hatton Garden, and they are Holborn and Chancery Lane on the Central and Piccadilly lines, as well as Farringdon on the Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith lines. The nearest mainline railway stations are King’s Cross and St Pancras to the north. St Pancras also offers international rail journeys to Europe through its Eurostar service.

For those wishing to drive to Hatton Garden, the A501 is the best option running through central London. From here, turn onto the A15200 before continuing along Clerkenwell Road.
