It is close by to several bus routes meaning County Durham and the borough of Gateshead are well connected. The Metro train system is near by, offering regular trains to north Newcastle and Sunderland. There are a number of car parking spaces so commuting daily wouldn't be a problem. Newcastle Airport is within a thirty minute drive and offers international travel. A number of bars and restaurants are close by and the Metro Centre, one of the largest shopping malls in Europe is within a ten minute drive.
